Roads can get slippery, a few riverside activity operators suspend bookings, and some resort properties have variable availability mid-monsoon. October and November sit in a good middle ground. The falls are still carrying decent water, temperatures have dropped from the summer peak, and the roads are far more manageable than peak monsoon. Activity vendors are fully operational. This is generally the period where offsite logistics cause the fewest surprises. If you are planning for a first-time Shivanasamudra trip with a large group, October to November is usually the safest call.
