Privacy & Sustainability

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Introduction

TreeMonks by Tyndis ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors, clients, and business partners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or engage our services.

TreeMonks Passport & event microsites

The TreeMonks Passport iOS and Android app and our event websites are private companions for invited groups. Your organiser adds your name, company, email address or phone number to the event guest list. Sign-in uses a personal invitation or a one-time code sent to a registered email address or phone number.

We process your event access, song votes, merchandise preferences, notification subscriptions and message read status to run your retreat. Authorised event staff can see guest information and selections for planning and fulfilment. Our hosting and delivery providers process the information needed for sign-in and service messages. Optional device notifications use Apple or Google and Expo when available; you can turn them off in the app or device settings.

The native app keeps saved sign-in credentials in the device's protected storage. Optional Face ID or fingerprint unlock is handled by your device; TreeMonks does not receive your biometric data. Recent invitation titles are kept locally for up to 24 hours and do not grant access to private event details. Signing out removes that event's saved sign-in from this device.

Expiring or revoking an event link closes guest access; it does not automatically erase the organiser's event records or independently paid photo storage. When your organiser grants photo access, the app opens the Phto gallery in your browser. Phto storage follows the Corporate plan retention shown for your event. Contact your organiser about event records and photo access.

Request removal of your retreat data

To request removal of your TreeMonks Passport guest record and associated selections, or to ask for access or corrections, contact contact@tyndistravel.com. Include the event and company name and contact us from your registered email where possible. Do not send a password, one-time code or private invitation link. We may verify the request with you and your organiser before changing records.

Tell us whether your request also concerns a Phto gallery so it can be directed to the team managing that storage. Records required for legal obligations or resolving disputes may need to be retained. Signing out or uninstalling the app alone does not delete the organiser's records.

Sustainability Commitment

Zero-Plastic Venues

Every venue in our network has committed to eliminating single-use plastics. We audit partner properties annually to verify compliance — this isn't a marketing claim, it's a sourcing requirement. Properties that fail the audit are removed from our recommendations.

Local-First Sourcing

Food, décor, gifts, and entertainment are sourced within 50 kilometres of every venue wherever possible. This reduces transport emissions, supports local communities, and gives your team authentic experiences that can't be replicated with catalogue vendors.

Carbon-Conscious Travel

We plan travel routes to minimise transit time and emissions. When rail is feasible over air, we recommend it. For unavoidable flights, we partner with verified reforestation programmes to offset the carbon impact of your event's travel footprint.

Ethical Catering

All catering partners in our network follow ethical sourcing guidelines, including fair-trade ingredients where available, seasonal and organic menus by default, and zero food waste targets through donation partnerships with local NGOs.
